A photographer who decides the distance first.

I started with a macro lens and a pear. Nine years later I still decide the distance before anything else.

I trained as a food photographer in Oslo, assisted on architecture shoots in Copenhagen, and opened a daylight studio in Bergen in 2017. The work now runs from still life at thirty centimetres to landscape at infinity, for magazines, hotels, architects and makers who care what things look like up close.

I shoot with four fixed lenses, grade everything myself, and print the editions in the studio. I take around twenty commissions a year, so each one gets a recce and a proper day.
