Lighting a room with the light it already has

For Holm Hotels we scouted every room at morning, midday and late afternoon before choosing when to shoot it.

One hour per room

The only tool on set was a 1 metre reflector. If a room needed more than that, it was the wrong hour.

Bookings for the renovated wing rose in the first season, and the most common review phrase was ‘exactly like the photos’.
