The brief, the light, the result

Dried flowers are all edges and air, which makes them hard to light without flattening them. We used one narrow strip box at 90 degrees and let the far side drop into the grey paper backdrop.
At 0.5 m
At f/2.8 and half a metre the focal plane is about a centimetre deep. We chose which three or four blooms carry the picture and let the rest turn to texture.
Twenty-four products, two days, one light. The catalogue printed on uncoated stock, so we graded for paper, not for screens.
