Hotel photography usually floods rooms with flash until every corner is the same brightness. Holm asked for the opposite: show guests the light they will actually wake up to.
At 3 m
We scouted each room at three times of day, then shot at the one hour it looked its best. The yellow room faces west, so it was 16:20 in late October.
No lights, one reflector, and a 35 mm at three metres so the whole room stays readable.
