The brief, the light, the result

The brief was light, not location. We waited for the thirty minutes when the sun sits just above the trees on Askøy and shot straight into it.
At 1.5 m
An 85 mm at f/1.8 and 1.5 metres gives about four centimetres of depth of field. Enough for the eyes and the edge of the ear, not much else.
Svale ran six pages. The series was shortlisted for the Nordic Portrait Award 2025.
